JB07 ESKIMO PICTOGRAPH BONE EARRINGS The fascinating
Eskimo art predating the influence of the Yankee whalers
arrival in the Arctic in the mid 1800's. Rich depictions
of dancing, hunting, fishing, shamanistic ceremonies and
village scenes are scrimshawed on these genuine bone (post
back disc earrings available in fossil ivory, see JI00)
earrings. Available in ivory white and fossil brown color.
Comes on earring card with historical information and
map of Alaska's American Ivory Coast showing locations
of exotic sounding Eskimo villages such as Shishmaref,
Savoonga, Kotzebue and Koyuk, places where this art form
